Highlights of Commonwealth Games 2022 Closing Ceremony: The Commonwealth Games 2022 ended on Monday after a spectacular closing ceremony at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. The flag of the Games was lowered and Victoria, Australia was entrusted to host the next edition of the CWG in 2026. The closing ceremony opened with a performance by Solihull band Ocean Color Scene. This was followed by a musical performance by Birmingham-born band Dexis Midnight Runners. One of the biggest bands of all time, UB40 added to the programme, while other musicians and bands from across the Midlands region entertained the crowd with their performances.
