DOVER, Delaware, Aug 8 (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden said on Monday he was not concerned about Taiwan but was concerned about China’s actions since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taipei.

“I’m concerned that they’re moving as much as they are,” Biden said as he left to visit flooded Kentucky. “But I don’t think they’re going to do much more than they are.”

China announced fresh military drills in the sea and airspace around Taiwan on Monday to protest Pelosi’s visit to the island last week. Read on

China regards Taiwan as part of its territory and has never used force to bring it under its control.
